Additional In Odd We Trust Information

“Meet a young man named Odd . . . who helps the dead get even."

From the infinite imagination of #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz comes the suspenseful graphic-novel debut of a natural-born hero with a supernatural twist.

Odd Thomas is a regular nineteen-year-old with an unusual gift: the ability to see the lingering spirits of the dead. To Odd, it’s not such a big deal. And most folks in sleepy Pico Mundo, California, are much more interested in the irresistible pancakes Odd whips up at the local diner. Still, communing with the dead can be useful. Because while some spirits only want a little company . . . others want justice.

When the sad specter of a very frightened boy finds its way to him, Odd vows to root out the evil suddenly infecting the sunny streets of Pico Mundo. But even with his exceptional ability–plus the local police and his pistol-packing girlfriend, Stormy, backing him–is Odd any match for a faceless stalker who’s always a step ahead . . . and determined to kill again?

What Customers Say About In Odd We Trust:

I guess I was so excited to see another in the Odd series that I didn't realize the entire book was going to be a cartoon. I ordered the book by accident. Couldn't get into it. Sorry, but I'm too old for cartoons. Wouldn't do it again. There must be a market for this but it isn't for me.

Odd Thomas has become a Koontz favorite character. In typical humble Odd fashion, he again foils the forces of evil, barely.A great introduction for new Dean Koontz readers.

If I knew this book wasn't written by Dean Koontz I would Have never bought it. It's not worth the money I paid for it.

I bought this item for a christmas gift. I do not like comic books. I would not have bought this item, if I knew that it was a comic book. The item decribtion does not say anything about this book being a comic book. I would not reccommend this book. I had to buy another book for the christmas gift that had bought this item for.

Characters are barely explained. I've read all but the most recent of Koontz's "Odd Thomas" novels, so I was interested to see what a different take on the material would be.Sadly, it wasn't very good. I don't know exactly how and why the material got bungled, but make no mistake - the tellings of Odd's adevntures that come from Koontz's pen make the adaptation of 'In Odd We Trust' look just inept. Had I know previous knowledge of the different relationships that existed between the characters I would have been lost. The dialogue is stilted and not anywhere near as dryly entertaining as the source. And this is all excepting the plot, which I can only describe as "Odd Lite" - I guess the events that are described in this telling could have happened with the characters involved, but it seems all too well tied up compared to the intricacies of Odd's otherwise strange existence.Plus, Elvis was a dud.
